Since 1979

A workshop that
outlasted the trends.

Most things about cars have changed since 1979 — fuel injection, onboard computers, electric steering. What hasn't changed is what a customer actually wants from a mechanic: a straight answer.

CV Master opened on Steve Biko Road in Wonderboom South in 1979, in an era when "honest mechanic" wasn't yet a marketing phrase — it was simply the only way a small workshop survived long enough to become an old one. Forty-five years later, we're still on the same road, still RMI accredited, and still run on the same principle: tell the customer exactly what's wrong, exactly what it costs, and exactly what happens if they don't fix it yet.

We built our name on CV joint and driveshaft repair — a specialty that rewards patience and precision more than horsepower. That discipline carried over as the workshop grew to cover full mechanical repair: engines, brakes, gearboxes, electrical systems, and the fleet contracts that now make up a meaningful share of our work.

RMI accreditation means we're held to industry-standard diagnostic and repair practices, audited as a member of South Africa's Retail Motor Industry Organisation. For a customer, that's a guarantee with teeth — not a logo on a website.
